history & governance
Double Six Youth Club operates out of a building owned by the National Association of Clubs for Young People, entrusted to elected trustees to manage and operate. The Club was established in 1966 (hence the name) and was originally formed as a Boys’ club.
Over the years, the club has developed into a general youth club, open to all young people aged 10 upwards. The club is run by what we call a "youth worker-in-charge". This is Richard. He works tirelessly to keep Double Six a great place to be with support from a band of volunteers.
In addition to the centre-based youth club provision on Scarsdale Road we also offer a number of trips and residentials.
The club is officially affiliated to CYP (Clubs for Young People).
