Dear David Cameron,
We are absolutely devastated that you have cut the funding for double 6 youth club. We are very angry about this because we love this place and we will be really sad that double 6 youth club will be closing on Wednesday’s. Do you think this is the right thing to do? Do you want us all to be devastated? I’m sure you’re a kind man and you don’t want us to be sad.
Girl’s night is very important to us; it keeps teenagers of the streets and keeps us having fun. If you cut the funding then it will make teenagers keep on the street and make us all bored. Not only does it make us have fun, but it helps us with all our problems, in AND out of school. Everybody in the youth club disagrees with what you have done, please don’t stop girl’s night! I’m sure you have your reasons to stop this amazing club but we need this club, without it we will have no fun on Wednesday nights. We will not stop until you agree with this! Please we love Wednesdays, we look forward to Wednesday, this is the best night of the week! Come on, are you really going to shut us down?
Shannon, one of the regulars of the club, said: “You can’t shut us down, this is our club and we will do anything to save it!”
Another of the regulars, Libby said “Whenever Wednesday comes around the corner, I am so excited! If you close us down we will all be devastated. Think of all the poor children you are letting down!”
Maddie, yet another regular of double 6 said, “Our youth club is brilliant. I never miss a session!”
The staff of youth club are so kind and caring, they won’t ever leave you going home upset and solve all our problems!
So after reading this letter Mr. Cameron, have you rethought about closing down the youth club? Please, don’t let all the innocent, defenceless children down!
Yours Sincerely,
Double 6 Youth Club Children
